World Food Prize 2016
World Food Prize
October 12 – 14, 2016, starting 7:30 am (UTC -6:00)
Each year, the World Food Prize highlights the importance of a nutritious and sustainable food supply for a growing world population. The prize honors individuals who have successfully contributed to this goal. It brings attention to what has been done to improve global food security for current and future generations. If Norman Borlaug ushered in the Green Revolution in agriculture, today, we are in the midst of a shift that promises extraordinary impact on food production.
From Wednesday, October 12 on, we will be curating the social media discussion of the 2016 Borlaug Dialogue in our live blog. On Friday, October 14, we will tweet live from the event and cover the keynote address of Liam Condon, Member of the Board of Management of Bayer AG and Head of the Crop Science Division, starting at 7:30am (UTC -6:00). The full event agenda is available here.
